The PET 2001 is a computer system with a monitor, keyboard, datassette, internal power-supply and a motherboard. On the motherboard you will find a MOS 6502 processor, RAM / ROM memory, MOS 6545 video-chip, MOS 6520 PIA and a MOS 6522 VIA.
The PET 2001 is the first "real" computer that Commodore produced. The early version of the 2001 has a small keyboard like the keyboard on calculators. It also has a build-in datassette. The later model has a normal keyboard and a connector for an external datassette.
Thanks go to Wim for donating this PET 2001 to the Commodore Info Page.
